One of the
greatest rapper of our time is the American multiple award winning artiste Lil Wayne.
His style of rapping is very unique and has a lot of fans worldwide. By the
grace of God, great news is about to hit the Ghanaian entertainment industry as
the boss of ‘young money chop money’ made this known to his Facebook fans on
Monday that he will be featuring Strongman in his yet to be released album.
The American
said he is a big fan of strongman and likes the way he delivers his flow. He
also mentioned that, a Ghanaian friend of his first played his songs to him and
was amazed at how he uses a language he doesn’t understand but still makes his
rap appealing to his ears. “I don’t generally listen to music from Africa but I
think this guy is so hot and I can’t wait to have him on my song” he wrote.
Reacting to
the comment made by Lil Wayne, strongman on his Facebook page thanked Lil Wayne
for his kind words and made mention of the fact that he is the biggest thing to
ever happen to HIP-HOP and he is somebody he looks up to.
As a token of
appreciation to Lil Wayne, Strongman promised to also prefix his name with Lil
so as to show the world that he is the first African living in Africa to have
the Legend feature him on his song.
The SarkCess
music boss Sarkodie the owner of the record label on which the young rapper is
signed onto, reacting to the story of his artiste getting a feature on Lil
Wayne’s song mentioned that, Ghana as a whole should see this as the break
through to international collaborations for other artistes in the country with
top stars in the US since this is going to open the eyes of music lovers abroad
to take a second look at them.
Sarkodie
also mentioned that, just as you cannot mention the name of Ghana without
mentioning the name of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, it will
be difficult to mention rap music and not mention Lil Wayne. He thanked Lil
Wayne for his kind words and promised him the very best from his artiste and
that he is to going to “wow” him when he is in the US to feature on his song.
The
president of MUSIGA, Bice Osei Kuffour
popularly known in the entertainment circles as Obour was also happy when he heard the news. He mentioned that if he
is not remembered for anything at all as the president of MUSIGA, he can boldly
tell his grandchildren that it was during his time that the great rapper Lil
Wayne featured Strongman on a song. He also used the opportunity to advise
Strongman and his team not to look back but continue doing the great work they
are doing to keep the flag of Ghana flying high.
